Benzina

Our story

Located on historic Colfax Avenue and set in a completely remodeled former muffler shop, Benzina - which translates from Italian to ‘gasoline’ – offers a mid-century modern vibe, relaxed family-friendly atmosphere, and will be enhanced this summer by the addition of twin bocce courts and urban planters alongside the outdoor dining patio.

Restauranter Brad Anderson has tapped Boulder native, Brian Lockwood (Eleven Madison Park & Frasca Food and Wine) as the restaurant’s Consulting Chef, overseeing and executing dishes upon opening. Brian works alongside Executive Chef Daniele Bolognini (Acorn). Benzina’s menu, while having a clear Italian influence, incorporates local ingredients and intentional flavors. The dinner menu features seasonal salads, family-style appetizers, Neapolitan-inspired pizza, handmade pastas, protein entrees prepared on a Mibrasa Charcoal Oven, and classic desserts. The beverage menu features complementing cocktails, local breweries and approachable domestic and international wines by the glass and bottle. Benzina will first serve dinner in accordance with the city's guidelines along with takeout and introduce lunch and brunch menus this summer.
